What happens in childhood does not always stay in childhood. A child’s experiences at home can quietly shape how they see themselves, understand love, build relationships, handle conflict, and respond to the world. A harsh word, constant comparison, feeling unheard, witnessing conflict, or never receiving an apology can leave invisible scars.I wrote this book because I was one of those children. Becoming a mother helped me understand how childhood experiences can influence confidence, relationships, self-worth, and even the way we parent. But childhood scars do not have to become lifelong wounds. This book explores how parents influence children not only through what they say but also through what they model every day. It helps parents recognize harmful patterns, understand their children’s emotional needs, and create homes where children feel safe, respected, heard, and loved. My hope is not to create guilt but to foster awareness, understanding, connection, and repair.
