Dr. Vijay Jadhao's original Marathi edition, "Banjara Parampara Ani Bhogavata," is divided into eighteen chapters. Through these chapters, the author has beautifully presented the rich cultural legacy and diversity of the Banjara community, as well as the status of the community in present scenario, struggles, and challenges. He has explained the various aspects, problems, and living conditions of the Banjara community from the perspective of social change. Consequently, his sensitivity, commitment, and concern for the Banjara community are evident on every page of the book. The author has expressed profound thoughts on the social health of the Banjara community, increasing tensions, and the changing Tanda lifestyle due to the influence of modernization. "The traditional practices and customs of the Tanda community should be scientifically evaluated"—this is the author's fundamental viewpoint. His thoughts are inspired by the spirit of social suffering, social upliftment, harmony, and social change. For this intention, while preserving the author's original vision and the spirit of the original book, I, the translator, Dr. Dinesh Sewa Rathod, have translated the original work into English to bring the rich cultural legacy, current social status, problems, and challenges of the Banjara community to a wider audience and presented this English edition titled- "Banjara Traditions And Endurance."
