It is a curious thing, is it not, to encounter one another in this manner, without names, histories, or the formalities by which we ordinarily introduce ourselves. Bound for a moment by nothing more than a few pages, these poems sit with thoughts that do not always ask to be explained. Some feelings arrive without answers, and some moments are too fragile to be spoken about. They settle instead into words, simply so they may be held, if only briefly. This collection moves through longing, tenderness, memory, and the ways people try to understand one another. If these pages find a place beside you for a while, sharing nothing in particular and yet something all the same, that is enough.
